Flick Gocke Schaumburg has advised e.Volution GmbH on the takeover of the operations of the insolvent Nob Manufacturing GmbH.
e.Volution GmbH, founded by Prof Dr Günther Schuh and based in Aachen, took over the operations and fixed assets of Nob Manufacturing GmbH immediately after insolvency proceedings were opened against the company’s assets. Nob Manufacturing is the manufacturer of the DHL Group’s electric delivery vehicles, formerly known as StreetScooter.
As part of the transaction, e.Volution GmbH has entered into a strategic partnership with the contract manufacturer Neapco GmbH, which has acquired equipment for vehicle assembly from the DHL Group for this purpose. In addition, e.Volution has acquired operating resources from StreetScooter GmbH and concluded an order for 700 e-transporters with the DHL Group, which will enable the company to continue operations and secure jobs.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
