New arrival for Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s corporate/M&A practice

Flick Gocke Schaumburg welcomed new arrival Dr. Matthias Heusel (39) to its corporate/M&A practice area on July 1, 2022. Heusel joins the firm from the Mannheim office of SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, where he had been since 2013, most recently as a counsel.

As an associate partner, he will further strengthen Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s Corporate/M&A team in Stuttgart led by partner Dr. Jens Eggenberger. Heusel primarily advises private individuals and family businesses on acquisitions and sales as well as in bidding procedures. His other focuses include company law, in particular corporation and stock corporation law, and advising start-ups and venture capital investors. As a transaction lawyer, he also supports clients with restructuring, corporate governance issues, exit strategies, and financing rounds.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s corporate/M&A practice currently numbers around 60 lawyers. They advise and support clients in corporate acquisitions and sales, financing rounds and mergers and, together with the M&A Tax team, develop structuring proposals in line with tax, legal and accounting perspectives.
