Flick Gocke Schaumburg strengthens its corporate practice with new partners in Hamburg

Flick Gocke Schaumburg is strengthening its corporate/M&A practice. The renowned corporate and transaction expert Dr Fred Wendt will be joining the firm’s Hamburg office together with Associated Partner Christian Zimmermann from Gleiss Lutz.

Fred Wendt has many years of experience in advising on cross-border transactions, often on behalf of private equity funds. He also advises national and international clients on joint ventures, reorganisations and corporate law. He started working with Gleiss Lutz in Berlin in 1992 and became a partner in 1996. In 2011 he moved to Hamburg.

Christian Zimmermann joined Gleiss Lutz in 2012 and was appointed Associated Partner in 2016. His expertise includes in particular national and cross-border transactions, particularly in the areas of private equity, venture capital and restructurings.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg counts 21 professionals in Hamburg, including four partners and another four partners working also from other offices. The Hamburg team has particular focus on advising family-owned businesses and groups on tax and corporate law as well as on insolvency tax law.
