Flick Gocke Schaumburg Recruits Antritrust and Competition Partner

Flick Gocke Schaumburg announced today that competition law expert Dr. Florian C. Haus will join the firm as an Associated Partner on February 1, 2014. He joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he last advised industrial clients and investors in particular.

Florian C. Haus has expertise in all fields of German and European competition law. He specializes in the areas of merger control and transaction-related legal advice. He also has extensive experience in representing clients in dominance cases and advises on horizontal and vertical agreements. Finally, he defends clients in cartel cases including competition litigation.

After a stint at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission and the Federal Cartel Office, Florian C. Haus has been working as a lawyer in the area of antitrust law since 2004. In addition to his legal practice he regularly publishes in leading antitrust journals and is a lecturer on competition law at the University of Mainz. He studied law in Trier, Nice and Mainz.
