The tax-focused firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg is continuing to expand its tax criminal law and white-collar crime practice. Dr Anna-Elisabeth Krause-Ablaß will be joining the firm’s Bonn office as an associate partner at the beginning of 2024. Krause-Ablaß joins Flick Gocke Schaumburg from the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO), where she is currently European Delegated Prosecutor at the EPPO’s Frankfurt center.

“We are very pleased that Anna-Elisabeth Krause-Ablaß will be joining us,” states Dr Karsten Randt, partner at Flick Gocke Schaumburg and head of the tax criminal law and white-collar crime practice group. “She is a proven expert in white-collar crime law. With her many years of experience, she will support us as we continue to deepen our expertise in corporate criminal law. Her particular knowledge and skills will be a great asset to our interdisciplinary advisory approach.” Krause-Ablaß, 43, will focus on the areas of defence and corporate compliance.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s white-collar crime and tax criminal law specialists represent enterprises and private clients at every stage of criminal proceedings – from the investigation to the main hearing. In addition, they are active in criminal law prevention advice. The 35-strong practice group, which includes both criminal lawyers and tax lawyers, has grown steadily in recent years and is now one of the largest units in this field in Germany.

Through the addition of Dr Anna-Elisabeth Krause-Ablaß, the firm is expanding its expertise in both German and European tax criminal law and white-collar crime law. Before joining the EPPO, Krause-Ablaß worked for more than ten years as a public prosecutor at the Frankfurt public prosecutor’s office – nine of those years exclusively in the area of white-collar crime. She presided over several high-profile proceedings in this capacity. <<<
