Flick Gocke Schaumburg expands Stuttgart practice with two tax experts

Flick Gocke Schaumburg strengthens its recently launched Stuttgart office with two more laterals: As of 1 September, Matthias Helke will join the firm as a partner; in October, Dr Jörg Kurzenberger will follow as an associated partner. Both join from KPMG.

Matthias Helke's practice covers ongoing tax advice (national and international) as well as tax process consulting and the implementation of tax compliance management systems. Dr Jörg Kurzenberger advises clients primarily on VAT law and tax litigation.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg opened its Stuttgart office at the end of May. The team focuses on corporate tax, criminal tax law, tax compliance and indirect tax as well as corporate law/M&A. Apart from Jesco Idler and Dr Sven Kluge, who have moved from Bonn, the office is served by the Bonn partners Dr Karsten Randt, Dr Jörg Schauf, Dr Holger Dietrich and Dr Jens Eggenberger. In May 2019, Marc Bareither, specialising in tax litigation, criminal tax law and tax compliance, joined the firm as an associated partner, criminal tax law expert Dr Jörg Frick came as Of Counsel.
