Dr Martin Oltmanns, a partner at Flick Gocke Schaumburg, has been appointed as a notary with effect from June 21, 2021.

Dr Oltmanns joined Flick Gocke Schaumburg as a lawyer and tax advisor in 2002, becoming a partner in 2003. He is also admitted to practice as an attorney-at-law in New York. His areas of specialization include corporate law, group law, capital markets law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and venture capital.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg opened its own notary’s office in Berlin in late 2020, with the appointment of Dr. Lennart Schramm as a notary. Dr. Schramm is a lawyer specializing in corporate/M&A. He advises companies as well as private equity and venture capital investors.

“On behalf of the partnership, I congratulate Martin Oltmanns and Lennart Schramm on their appointment as notaries,” states Managing Partner Prof. Thomas Rödder. “Expanding our notary practice is the next step in the successful development we have seen since launching our notary services in Frankfurt six years ago. At Flick Gocke Schaumburg we continue to pursue our multidisciplinary approach of tax-focused legal advice, evolving organically in response to our clients’ needs.”

Flick Gocke Schaumburg opened its first notary’s office, with Dr Finn Lubberich, in Frankfurt in 2015. It specialized in corporate law and real-estate law. Today the notary practice focuses on cross-border M&A transactions.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg opened its Berlin office in 1994 and currently has 29 lawyers and tax advisors there, including five equity partners and six associate partners. They advise clients primarily on corporate tax law and group tax law, indirect taxes, corporate law/M&A and private equity, private clients, foundations, non-profit organizations, tax criminal law, and white-collar and regulatory matters.
