Flick Gocke Schaumburg is expanding its Frankfurt practice for corporate law and real-estate law with the introduction of a notary service on October 1, 2015. Dr. Finn Lubberich, who is joining the firm from Paul Hastings, will be responsible for the new service.

In addition to his position as a notary, Lubberich, 37, has many years of experience in corporate law/M&A, particularly with cross-border M&A transactions, financing, and real-estate projects.

At Paul Hastings he was part of the team that advised Nexter on its merger with Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, and Weichai on its acquisition of a stake in the Kion Group. Prior to joining Paul Hastings in 2012, Lubberich was a lawyer at Baker & McKenzie, where he became an associate in 2008.

Lubberich initially joins Flick Gocke Schaumburg as an Of Counsel. He will work most closely with the corporate law and real-estate law team headed by partner Dr. Michael Wiesbrock.

“Introducing notary services is a logical extension of our activities to provide advice on tax law and economic law to industrial businesses, real-estate companies, family-owned businesses, and private clients,” states Professor Thomas Rödder, Chairman of Flick Gocke Schaumburg. “It adds another discipline to Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s multidisciplinary approach.”

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has more than 350 lawyers, tax advisors and auditors spread across its five offices in Germany. The firm has grown rapidly in recent years, recruiting a growing number of experts from other disciplines. Dr. Günter Kahlert, a leading expert on insolvency law, will be joining the recently opened Hamburg office on October 1, 2015. In July 2015, the experienced in-house lawyer Hans-Henning Bernhardt joined the Hamburg team as an Of Counsel.
