Flick Gocke Schaumburg elects 9 partners and 16 associated partners

Flick Gocke Schaumburg is pleased to announce that the firm has elected 9 partners and 16 associated partners effective January 1, 2020.

Dr Christian Bochmann, Michael Jakobi, Dr Sven Kluge, Dr Jochen Kotzenberg, Dr Bernhard Liekenbrock, Dr Matthias Merkelbach, Dr Tobias Schwartz, Dr Daniel Ternes and Dr Irka Zöllter-Petzoldt are promoted to equity partnership.

The newly elected associated partners include Dr Nadia Altenburg, Dr Sebastian Binder, Dr Christian Engelen, Dr Susanne Hemme, Dr Philipp Klinker, Johannes Kracke, Dr Eva-Maria Kraus, Michal Kühn, Johann-Nikolaus Meyer, Nadine Oberherr, Dr Lennart Schramm, Dr Tobias Schwan, André Strecker, Dr Christian Süß, Andreas Wengerter and Martin Werneburg. Iris Quast is appointed managing director of FGS Steuerberatungsgesellschaft mbH.

As of January 1, 2020, Flick Gocke Schaumburg will count 75 partners and 80 associated partners at the firm’s seven offices.

Dr Christian Bochmann, LL.M. (Cambridge), lawyer at the Hamburg office, advises on all aspects of corporate and capital market law, corporate transactions and restructurings as well as corporate disputes. He has a particular focus on family businesses.

Michael Jakobi is a tax advisor and expert advisor on international tax law in Bonn. One of his main areas of expertise is tax compliance; in addition, he advises on corporate tax and the taxation of private clients, including inheritance and gift tax.

Dr Sven Kluge, tax advisor based in Stuttgart, focuses on national and international corporate and group tax as well as transfer pricing.

Dr Jochen Kotzenberg, LL.M. (Vanderbilt), lawyer and tax advisor in Bonn, has proven expertise in the areas of corporate succession, inheritance and gift tax, often with international implications. His clients are primarily family businesses and private clients.

Dr Bernhard Liekenbrock, tax advisor and managing director of FGS Digital GmbH in Bonn, specializes in the taxation of national and international groups, the optimization of tax processes through innovative IT solutions (tax technology) and the implementation of tax compliance management systems.

Dr Matthias Merkelbach, lawyer in Bonn, specializes in corporate law. He advises in particular banks and insurance companies as well as stock-listed companies with regard to corporate governance and corporate compliance.

Dr Tobias Schwartz, lawyer and certified tax lawyer in Bonn, focuses on tax and commercial criminal law as well as compliance and risk management.

Dr Daniel Ternes, public auditor and tax advisor in Bonn, conducts annual and consolidated audits and advises clients on national and international accounting. He also has a focus on (tax) compliance management and risk management.

Dr Irka Zöllter-Petzoldt, lawyer in Berlin, advises clients on corporate law, in particular on stock corporation and capital markets law, as well as on mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture capital.
