Flick Gocke Schaumburg advises Otto Schmidt Verlag on its division from RWS Verlag

The shareholders of RWS Verlag Kommunikationsforum GmbH have divided. With effect from October 31, 2019, Dr. Otto Schmidt Verlag KG is leaving RWS Verlag. Dr. Bruno M. Kübler will continue to run RWE Verlag as the sole shareholder. The magazines ZIP and EWiR will be transferred to Dr. Otto Schmidt Verlag.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg advised Otto Schmidt Verlag on negotiating the division under corporate law.

Dr. Bruno M. Kübler, a lawyer, founded RWS Verlag, which has been run with Verlag Dr. Otto Schmidt KG as a 50% co-partner since 1990. Over the past decades, the partners have developed RWS Verlag into a modern provider of specialist information on commercial and tax law. It is also one of the leading providers of seminars and conferences, particularly in insolvency law.
