Flick Gocke Schaumburg advises ECM on YellowFox acquisition

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has provided tax advice to investment company ECM Equity Capital Management GmbH on the acquisition of telematics supplier YellowFox GmbH. ECM made the investment through its managed fund German Equity Partners V.

YellowFox cofounder Hendrik Scherf and the other shareholders will remain on board and continue to develop the company in partnership with ECM.

Representing Flick Gocke Schaumburg were Christian Schatz (partner), Matthias Full (partner), and Anne-Catherine Lorek (tax advisor), all from the firm’s Tax/Private Equity team in Munich. Flick Gocke Schaumburg, and Schatz in particular, has a long-standing client relationship with ECM Equity Capital Management.

Founded in 2003 and based in Kesselsdorf near Dresden, YellowFox current has around 70 employees and is one of the leading telematics suppliers in the German-speaking countries. It serves a wide range of industries from transport and logistics to industrial service providers, the construction industry, skilled trades, the waste disposal sector, and rail, bus and taxi companies.
