Flick Gocke Schaumburg advises Deutsche Bahn on sale of Ameropa to Liberta Partners

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has been advising Deutsche Bahn AG on the sale of its subsidiary Ameropa Reisen to the multi-family holding company Liberta Partners.

Liberta will take over all Ameropa employees. Ameropa and Deutsche Bahn intend to continue to work closely together, for example, in sales or rail travel as part of Ameropa’s offers.

The tour operator Ameropa, founded in 1951, has been part of the DB Group since 1973 and has been wholly owned by DB Fernverkehr AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG, since 1993. Ameropa tours are sold to about 500,000 travelers via 7,400 travel agencies and DB Travel Centers.
