The Berlin office of Flick Gocke Schaumburg will grow with the addition of a further tax partner. Lawyer Dr. Helder Schnittker will join FGS as of March 15 after leaving Alpers & Stenger.

In 2006 Helder Schnittker moved from P+P Pöllath + Partners to Alpers & Stenger, the respected Hamburg MDP, where, as a partner, his main achievement was building up the practice area of private equity. The 40-year-old also has many years’ experience of providing advice on the taxation of real-estate transactions and of assisting professional partnerships to convert into LLPs. His expertise in the field of private equity will complement one of the FGS Berlin office’s major areas of specialization. In particular, partners Dr. Martin Oltmanns and Dr. Florian Kutt are known for advising large PE funds on tax and legal matters.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has also announced the addition of a new partner to its Bonn office. Dr. Holger Dietrich will practice in the field of tax law. The 39-year-old lawyer and certified tax consultant has moved from the Frankfurt office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he last held the position of tax counsel. Holger Dietrich has many years’ experience of business taxation and of advising banks on tax matters. In the last few years, he has provided tax advice on a large number of prominent corporate reorganizations and M&A transactions. Holger Dietrich joins the team headed by the well-known tax expert Professor Thomas Rödder, who advises numerous corporate groups and family-owned businesses on tax issues.
