Flick Gocke Schaumburg is further developing its tax-focused advisory services for internationally active companies, strengthening its team with a foreign trade law, export controls and sanctions expert. Rafik Ahmad (49) will join the firm’s Frankfurt office as an Associate Partner on 1 October 2024. To date, he has worked for the auditing and law firm Ernst & Young (EY) for around ten years.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has advised the Swiss Life Group on the transfer of its German life insurance business to a German SE. To date, this business has been managed by a German branch of Swiss Life AG.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has advised E3 Holding SE on the acquisition of a 74 percent majority stake in PEMA Vollkorn-Spezialitäten GmbH & Co. KG. The family owners retain a 26 percent stake in the company.
