Flick Gocke Schaumburg appoints four partners and nine associated partners

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has appointed four equity partners and nine associated partners from its own ranks as of January 1, 2017. This brings the total number of equity partners to 57 and associated partners to 58 from the beginning of next year.

The new equity partners are Dr. Barbara Fleckenstein-Weiland (tax law, Frankfurt), Dr. Florian C. Haus (competition law, Bonn), Christoph Oenings (tax law, Hamburg) and Dr. Manfred Reich (succession/private wealth/foundations, Frankfurt).

The newly appointed associated partners are Thomas Harmann (corporate finance, reorganizing and restructuring, Bonn), Dr. Christina Hildebrand (tax law, Bonn), Dr. Florian Holzner, LL.M. (private equity/venture capital, tax law, Munich), Andreas Kortendick, LL.M. (tax law, Bonn), Dr. Jochen Kotzenberg, LL.M. (succession/private wealth/foundations, Bonn), Dr. Roman Stenzel (corporate law, Munich), Daniel Ternes (auditing and business valuation, Bonn), Dr. Benjamin Ullrich, M. Jur. (private equity/venture capital, Berlin) and Rainald Vobbe (tax law, Bonn).

Dr. Barbara Fleckenstein-Weiland is a lawyer, tax advisor and certified tax lawyer. She specializes in indirect taxes and provides advice on VAT law, energy tax law, insurance tax law and customs law. Her clients come primarily from the real estate sector. She also advises international trading companies, corporate groups, and service providers. Dr. Fleckenstein-Weiland joined Flick Gocke Schaumburg in 2007 and became an associated partner in 2013.

Lawyer Dr. Florian C. Haus specializes in German and European antitrust law. He was appointed an associated partner at Flick Gocke Schaumburg’s Bonn office in 2014. He advises clients on a wide range of areas, including merger control, abuse control, and the assessment and structuring of horizontal and vertical agreements. In addition, he represents clients in antitrust proceedings and civil-law disputes.

Christoph Oenings, a lawyer, tax advisor and graduate in tax administration, became an associated partner at Flick Gocke Schaumburg in Hamburg in 2013. He specializes not only in tax structuring for family-owned businesses and family assets, but also in German and international business succession and wealth planning and the law of foundations and not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Manfred Reich is a lawyer, tax advisor and certified inheritance lawyer. He has been at Flick Gocke Schaumburg in Frankfurt since 2008, and was appointed an associated partner in 2014. Dr. Reich specializes in national and international business succession and wealth planning. His clients include family entrepreneurs and private clients, whom he advises on inheritance tax, gift tax, income tax law, inheritance law, corporate law, and the law of foundations. He also represents clients in appeals and legal proceedings.
