Artificial Intelligence

Where innovation meets experience

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the way tax and legal departments work. It is able to analyze content, identify patterns, make forecasts, and generate text and visuals. This opens up considerable efficiency potential, especially for enterprises that handle large data volumes and complex processes. Routine activities can be automated, data systematically analyzed and compliance requirements met more efficiently. Another strategic factor is the use of AI to prepare and safeguard business decisions. Although AI can usefully support steps in the tax process, not every process-related challenge is necessarily suitable for an AI-supported solution. Each task must therefore be assessed by experts in order to identify the right technical approach and fully exploit the potential of AI. Our team combines technical expertise with a market-leading specialization in tax-focused legal advice. That means our clients benefit not only from technical applications rooted in human knowledge and expertise, but also from sustainable added value. And our experts are easy to reach: Just tap in the app. We call it:

AI. And tax-focused.

We support clients in the practical implementation of tax and legal AI projects. Our interdisciplinary team combines long-standing experience in software development with the specialist expertise of our lawyers and tax advisors. We’ll create the solutions you need – and we’ll advise you on data privacy, liability, and regulatory requirements.

From Technology Push to Problem Pull

We’re not about pushing technology for its own sake. Instead, we use AI precisely where it creates added value and enables custom solutions for our clients. Here are some of the use cases we have worked on in the tax law process chain:

AI-based withholding tax analysis

Our AI-based withholding tax tool analyzes mass data including order, purchasing, accounting and contract data, helping you to identify relevant issues early on. This makes it possible, for example, to pinpoint transactions relevant to withholding tax that would not have been identifiable via standard procurement processes or withholding tax determination in ERP.

E-Invoice Flow

E-Invoice Flow, our validation software for e-invoices, helps ensure compliance with technical and substantive requirements. The first step is to verify the syntax of your e-invoices in XML format in accordance with EU Directive EN-16931. But unlike most other e-invoicing providers and market players, we add value by monitoring compliance with the minimum tax requirements under Secs. 14 and 14a of the German VAT Act (UStG), performing a VAT risk analysis, and, if you wish, recalculating the supplier’s VAT on the basis of the incoming invoice.

AI in tax and legal departments

We’re here to advise you on how you can deploy AI in your tax and legal department. Our AI solutions are built around your specific problem – not the other way round. And that means we’ll spend time getting to know you: We’ll analyze your tax and legal processes, identify improvement potential, and introduce AI tools that create real added value. Together, we’ll move from technology push to problem pull.

Outplacement advice

Career moves can be challenging. We can provide face-to-face advice combined with innovative AI technology and avatar career coaches. Available around the clock, tailored to your needs – so you can enter the next stage of your career with confidence.

Data analysis of tax transaction data and contracts

Tax and legal data analysis can often run to thousands of contracts, millions of posting items, and complex payment flows. From tax adjustments to tax compliance projects, M&As and group restructuring scenarios, we’ll systematically analyze your existing contracts, extract tax-relevant information, and create comprehensive reports for you. That gives you a sound basis for decision-making and minimizes tax risks.

Blockchain and crypto forensics for corporations and start-ups

Crypto transactions leave traces. We make them visible. When it comes to due diligence, fraud prevention and proof of compliance, our blockchain forensics tools analyze transaction flows, identify risks, and create legal certainty. For corporations wanting to secure digital assets and start-ups that need to build trust.
