Flick Gocke Schaumburg continues growth with new partners

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has appointed two new partners and 17 associated partners with effect from January 1, 2026. All appointees come from within the firm.

The new partners in 2026 are:

Dr. Goetz Kempelmann, LL.M. (Harvard), lawyer and tax advisor; tax law, Düsseldorf. He focuses on advising family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals on all aspects of domestic and international tax law, particularly in relation to relocating, cross-border wealth structuring, succession planning, and foundation matters. Another key area of his expertise is advising real estate companies and managing real estate assets.  

Dr. Alexander Witfeld (lawyer and tax advisor; tax law, Düsseldorf) advises his clients on all matters relating to group and corporate tax law. Reorganization tax law is a particular focus of his work. He also has special expertise in restructuring tax law and insolvency tax law.

Both partners have progressed their careers from associate to partner within the firm and were appointed associate partners in 2023.

In addition, Flick Gocke Schaumburg has appointed auditor and tax advisor Franziska Freitag (Frankfurt) as Director Tax Compliance as of January 1, 2026.
