Flick Gocke Schaumburg has advised M.M. Warburg & CO on the sale of its depositary business for liquid investment assets to the private bank Donner & Reuschel.

The sale comprises 33 funds with a volume of around EUR 1.7 billion and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

The change of depositary is part of the strategic realignment of M.M. Warburg & CO. Illiquid assets will continue to be managed by the bank’s own depositary, which is one of the largest in Germany for real asset special funds.
