Flick Gocke Schaumburg advises Global Auto Holdings Limited on acquisition of Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Berlin
Flick Gocke Schaumburg has provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Global Auto Holdings Limited (“GAHL”) on its acquisition of Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Berlin from Mercedes-Benz AG. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, and the parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The Mercedes-Benz Berlin operation comprises seven dealerships, employing more than 1,100 people. Its flagship site is Salzufer, widely regarded as the largest Mercedes-Benz‑owned showroom globally. GAHL intends to continue investing in the growth of the Mercedes-Benz Berlin dealerships and their staff. The acquisition marks GAHL’s entry into the German market.
Flick Gocke Schaumburg advised GAHL on legal and tax matters throughout the transaction, including the negotiation of transaction documents and tax structuring, and is assisting with reporting the transaction to the European Commission.
