FGS invites you to an interactive half-day workshop for managing directors and founders of start-ups.

Starting and managing a company in its early stages means navigating a complex landscape of legal requirements, involving civil, corporate, employment, tax and social security law.

This masterclass offers an essential overview of the legal and tax responsibilities and the general regulatory framework that managing directors must be aware of from the very beginning.

Through three focused sessions, our experts will combine a structured overview of key legal and tax principles with practical case studies and best practices. Participants will gain a clear understanding of core compliance obligations and learn to identify potential risks to make well-informed decisions in their day-to-day management practice. Where relevant, the sessions will also highlight specific considerations for start-ups.

Program Overview
The masterclass is structured around the key stages of a start-up. Each session will address essential aspects of legal, employment, and tax compliance, combining theoretical insights with practical examples and interactive discussion.

Topics will include

  • Company formation – from the choice of legal form to corporate governance essentials
  • Getting started – recruiting and hiring employees or freelancers
  • Ongoing business activities – covering core compliance obligations, international expansion, financial structure, termination of employment relationships, and managing directors’ personal liability
  • Exit and succession – considerations regarding potential exit routes and initial strategic planning

At the end of the workshop sessions, participants are invited to a casual get-together over appetizers and drinks, to continue the exchange and discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
