Professor Norbert Herzig joined the Bonn office of Flick Gocke Schaumburg as Of Counsel on May 1, 2013. Until recently, Mr. Herzig was Director of the Tax Seminar at the University of Cologne.

2013 Partner Promotion Round: Flick Gocke Schaumburg Appoints Seven Equity Partners and Nine Associated Partners
Flick Gocke Schaumburg has appointed seven equity partners as of 1 January 2013. At the same time, nine of the firm’s associates will join the ranks of the associated partners, including three women. Thus the number of partners will soon rise to 86, of whom 48 are partners within the meaning of the German Act on Professional Partnerships (PartGG).

Flick Gocke Schaumburg Opens Reprensentative Offices in Zurich and Vienna
Flick Gocke Schaumburg is expanding its presence in the German-speaking area. The partnership has opened a representative office in Zurich with effect as of 1 September. From now on, its clients will be able to contact the firm locally in Vienna as well.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg Appoints Five New Partners as of January 2012
Flick Gocke Schaumburg will appoint more partners at the New Year. Associated partners Dr. Jens Eggenberger, Dr. Torsten Engers, Dr. Michael Hendricks, Dr. Carsten Schlotter and Marc Schmidt will become equity partners as of 1 January 2012. At the same time, six of the firm’s associates will join the ranks of the associated partners, and two associates will be appointed new directors of FGS Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Flick Gocke Schaumburg has been elected “Tax Law Firm of the Year” at the JUVE Awards 2011. JUVE, the publisher and provider of legal information, conferred its coveted awards at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt yesterday evening. Partner Professor Thomas Rödder accepted the award on behalf of the whole firm.
